Limestone Restoration
Limestone restoration is similar to other stone restoration efforts, however limestone is often more porous than most of the other stones that we restore. Limestone restoration usually includes several passes of diamond abrasion, which is performed wet. Sometimes limestone restoration projects incur additional time as limestone tend to absorb more water during the restoration process. Also, some less dense limestones will not respond well to polishing efforts. These limestone varieties are usually finished to a honed or matte finish during restoration.
