Granite Repair

Granite repair is the second most common procedure that we perform on granite counter tops. Chips and cracks are the most common repairs and are usually due to accidental dropping of pots and pans. Sometime, however cracks will develop at stressed areas or where older style reinforcement rodding has been installed within your granite installation. This older rodding, when composed of iron, will rust when in contact with water, causing great stress and often rupturing the granite surface near sinks and seams. This occurrence can be repaired and your granite can look great again. There are many methods use in granite repair as each stone will require a little different approach and often granite repair is more art than science.
