Granite Sealing
Granite Sealing is part of a routine maintenance plan for natural granite stone. There are a few granites that will not require granite sealing, however if you are like most, its better to be safe than sorry. Have your granite cleaned well and then apply a penetrating sealer to the surface. Use of a high quality penetrating sealer will protect your granite surfaces for several years. Be careful of manufacturer claims of sealers lasting 10 years or more. In most cases, this will be in ideal conditions and you should know by now that will never apply to you. If you suspect that your granite is absorbent or prone to staining, have it cleaned and sealed.
