Limestone Refinishing
Limestone refinishing is performed by first machine honing the limestone surface using diamond abrasives. Once the limestone has been honed, it will often require a deep cleaning. Using high pressure cleaning, dirt is literally flushed from the stone surface. This will achieve a much cleaner surface than using a brush or other more abrasive options. After machine honing and cleaning and a little dry time, a quality penetrating sealer can be applied to complete the limestone refinishing process. Limestone refinishing is very similar to restoration techniques used with other stone, but a little less aggressive due to the typically softer surfaces that limestone has. We use the same techniques for limestone refinishing as were used in the original fabrication of your limestone surfaces.
